Meet the designer

I’m Michelle and I make Moonstruck. I live in Vancouver, Canada but travel all around with a sketchbook and sewing machine packed in my suitcase. I find inspiration in cartoons, historic costume, kpop, and nostalgia.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Fashion Design and Technology from the Wilson School of Design and have worked at some international apparel brands. Moonstruck was made in 2017 as a personal creative outlet to realize a variety of projects like sewing, branding building, photography, social media, graphic design, packaging design, textile manipulation, and more. It has since has grown into a brand that connects to a whole community of magical girls.

I prioritize making clothes that make people feel empowered, that can fit a variety of bodies. When people wear Moonstruck, I want them to feel cute and powerful at any size, no matter how they identify.

My goal is to connect with people through my work by creating things that are authentic to myself, as a designer.
